Northern Illinois University’s Annual Security and Fire Safety Report (ASFSR) is published annually in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act). The report provides an overview of NIU’s campus safety and security policies, crime prevention, emergency response procedures, and resources available to the campus community. It also includes annual statistics for reported Clery Act crimes, arrests, and disciplinary referrals. In addition, the ASFSR contains fire safety policies, fire system information, and fire statistics for on-campus student housing facilities. The ASFSR is intended to promote transparency and awareness by providing students, employees, prospective community members, and the public with information on campus safety and fire safety at Northern Illinois University.
