I was a Community Advisor (CA) and a member of Supporting Opportunities for Latinos, Northern Lights Ambassador, Research Rookie and Lambda Upsilon Lambda

What is your favorite NIU Memory?
Playing soccer with SoL!

What is your career/job today?
Electrical Engineer at Fermilab

Any future Goals ahead?
Become a lead engineer

Do you have any advice for current students?
Don't think that you are not good enough because you probably are. Apply for that internship. Apply for that job.

Honors Program, Office of Student Engagement and Experiential Learning, Adela de la Torre honor society

What is your favorite NIU Memory?
Planning and hosting a talent show for the honor society I was involved in with friends.

What is your career/job today?
Pediatric physical therapist working for Chicago Public Schools.

Any future Goals ahead?
Be the best pediatric physical therapist I can be, travel the world, give back through service to the community.

Do you have any advice for current students?
I have failed countless times to get where I am today, but I didn't give up. I'm happy to say I'm working my dream job and I owe it to all of the people who supported me throughout my educational journey. No dream or goal is ever too big...it's all about heart and dedication. Make it happen!

Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc., Supporting Opportunities for Latinos, Latino Student Alliance, Lambda Sigma Honor Society, Archery Club

What is your favorite NIU Memory?
Starting an organization on campus. (Lambda Theta Phi)

What is your career/job today?
Transfer admissions counselor and I'm a student in the M.S.Ed .in Adult and Higher Education program. 

Any future Goals ahead?
More efficiently assisting students navigate through their journey in higher education.  

Do you have any advice for current students?
Get involved on campus! Getting good grades is very important, but campus involvement opens doors for scholarships and future employment opportunities.
