Student’s who do not request Winter Break contracts will need to vacate their rooms 24 hours after their last final exam or by 10 a.m. Sunday, December 13th, whichever comes first. Don’t forget to pack your toothbrush, favorite CD and everything else you want with you over break – hall staff will not be available to take you to your room over the break to get items your forgot to take with you. Only residents with Winter Break contracts may enter the residence halls during this time. The OneCards of residents without contracts will not activate the outside door locks while the buildings are closed for break.
Lincoln Hall and Douglas Hall do not have a Winter Break contract option. Residents of these halls may request a temporary break housing assignment in halls that do have the Winter Break housing option. A limited number of spaces will be available and will be assigned on a first come first served basis.

If you are moving to a different room for Spring Semester and want to stay over Winter Break, and have already completed your transfer request for that new space, the room that will come up for you for Winter Break room retention will be that new Spring semester room assignment. Remember that you will need to move to your new room no later than Sunday, December 13, 2009.
